Stockport MBC are proposing to increase parking charges throughout the borough as a way of incresing revenue.
A report has been prepared by officers that looks at a number of proposals. Those affecting Marple include charging 50p for the first two hours and removing the one hour tariff band. The proposals include charging for the two car parks on Brabyns Brow (opposite the station and opposite the entrance to Brabyns Park) that are currently free of charge. The full report can be viewed HERE
The report went out to consultation at the beginning of November 2017 and the consultation closed on the 30th November 2017.
The report will be discussed by the Council cabinet on the 19th December 2017.
