The August edition of Update, the Civic Society's newsletter is now available here
 
This edition includes important updates about the Wharf appeal process, Marple Swimming Pool and the Garden House planning appeal.

April edition of update



The April 2020 edition of Update is now available here. This includes an important update on the Marple Swimming Pool consultation and an overview of the current position on the Wharf development.

Since the publication of update we have become aware that the Stockport Council  consultation on the Marple Pool development is carrying on on-line. It would be good if as many members as possible could participate and make their views known. You can find the consultation here.

The society AGM on Saturday 8th February was well attended and an interesting presentation given by Eamonn Canniffe from the Manchester School of Architecture. Minutes of the meeting, the Chairman's report, some photos and the slides from the presentation by Eamonn are all available here.

A reminder to everyone that the Society AGM will take place at Marple Library on Saturday, February 8th 2020 at 10.30am.

This is combined with a presentation from Eamonn Canniffe from Manchester School of Architecture entitled:

The Idea of "Place" - what makes somewhere "somewhere"?
