ASDA/CAMSFC Flawed Consultation

Last week ASDA and Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College exhibited their proposal to build a large supermarket on the college's Hibbert Lane campus.
Marple Civic Society is strongly opposed in principle to the building of any supermarket on this site.  Society representatives went to the event to make the society's views known.
Two things are clear, the event was poorly advertised in Marple itself and the ASDA/CAMSFC staff at the event could not answer many of the questions put to them regarding the impact of their proposal on Marple.
We have written to ASDA and CAMSFC to express our concerns and to demand a proper consultation, to include a public meeting, when they are in a position to tell us the full story.
