We are grateful to Kerry Walmesley, Conservation Management Trainee and the Stockport MBC Conservation Department for leading on the Vision for Marple Local Listing project.
There were a total of 256 nominations, 164 of these are from local groups and members of the public and 92 are from SMBC. A review meeting with the conservation and heritage team and a steering panel from the various community groups who took part will be arranged in March 2012.
Nominated by Marple Civic Society. Originally built for use by men working at Goyt Mill. It had baths at the back and was used for reading newspapers and other recreational purposes
