Notice of Speaker Meeting & Members' Evening

The Socieity has arranged the following two meetings for society members and members of the public:
     

30th July 2013 - Speaker meeting 4.00pm - 5.00pm
                        Harry Smith, local resident and student, will present his report and findings
                        from his Supermarket Study                         

                        Everyone is welcome - join us for refreshments at 3.40pm

10th Oct 2013 - Annual Members' Evening - 7.30pm - 9.30pm
                        Paul Hartley, Conservation Officer Stockport MBC, will give a presentation
                        on Marple Local Listing. The project is in the final stages and is expected 
                        to be completed in time for the presentation.                         
                        There are many buildings and structures that reflect Marple's history and
                        heritage that do not fulfill the criteria for statutory listing.
                        Local listing is one way of providing some protection for these buildings.

Both meetings will be held in the upstairs meeting room of Marple Library.
