The business meeting starts at 3pm. We will break for light refreshments at 3.30pm and then welcome two speakers from the Canal and River Trust (formerly British Waterways) who will talk about the canal projects which are part of the Heritage Lottery Fund bid "Revealing Oldknow's Legacy".
This ambitious project includes work at the Marple Aqueduct, Lime Kilns and Mellor Mill Site. Increasing access, interpretation and community involvement are key aspects of the project.
We hope to see you on Tuesday - family, friends and neighbours are welcome too.
